A special thanks goes out to everyone who attended our memorial weekend fashion show. The event went by flawlessly and boy did the women look fantastic! Hopefully there will be many more special events like this to come.

This memorial day weekend, Sunday, VJ’s will be hosting a one of a kind fashion show. This show will be featuring models from Twin Cities Church behavior modification class who are complete success stories! These ladies have modified there bodies and mind through months of classes and then were sent over to us for the completion of there makeover. Virginie and Kristy completed the hair and makeup by analyzing each client and giving them a turn around look depending on each woman’s needs. For attire we teamed with Dena’s Off Main Consignment Shop to complete the mind and body makeover! Out with the old and in with the new! This event is sure to be special!

During the 2010 Home and Garden Show we set up a Julie Hewett Makeup application and giveaway. Out of the many applicants Susan was selected as our lucky winner! Kristy, one of our new staff members, gave her a consultation for an everyday natural makeup look. Susan walked away with a fresh new look, a smile, and $250 worth of Julie Hewett Makeup! We want to thank everyone who entered and encourage them to come into the salon and check out our products.

We had such a great time at the 2010 Home and Garden Show. We had the pleasure of featuring the Julie Hewett Makeup line and freshening up the faces of the community. We had many applicants for our $250 makeup give away, our winner is Susan Smith and she will be receiving a consultation from us in the very near future! VJ’s salon staff made it safely  home from LA! We all had an amazing time soaking up all the latest make-up, hair, and nail fashion tips! We flew into LA Friday made to our room just in time to head to dinner with Julie Hewett herself! Julie Hewett is a make up artist in the film business! Saturday we all took a hands on 8 hour class with Julie. We learned all her fabulous make up tips and great ways to use her product!  Sunday we all made it to the Long Beach hair show! Here  we  were able to look into some different salon software programs as well as all the latest hair trends! On Monday we took an 8 hour class with Jessica Nail Care, which is the line we carry here in our salon! At Jessica we learned how to do nail cultures, fix broken nails and  practiced Jessica’s Manicure procedures! So much information and such a fabulous weekend!

Friday January 29th Virginie, Jessica, April, and Kellie are headed down to LA for some great classes! Starting Saturday we will be taking a class with Julie Hewett for make up techniques! Julie Hewett is a make up artist in the film business. Its going to be a great experience for all of us! Sunday we are all headed to the long beach hair show to get all the latest fashion! Monday we will be taking a class with Jessica, which is our nail care line! A weekend full of great education and fun!
