The staff of VJ’S Salon and Day Spa is participating in a series of haircutting classes in our Salon on two Sundays a month. Based on the principle of Sassoon Haircutting that is called the ABC of haircutting, hair designers are studying the value of head and face shapes in designing the up to date new looks for our clients. The precision method of cutting is great for all hair textures and face shapes.

VJ’s Salon and Day Spa is now carrying a new professional makeup line! We are pleased to have “ Julie Hewett Los Angeles” in our salon. As a makeup artist with 20 years experience, Julie set out to develop her own line. She was determined to create products that would not only fill in the gaps of missing essential items, but would also result in products of superior quality. Using only the purest of ingredients and the healing properties of essential oils, Julie Hewett Los Angeles is in a class of its own. Camellia oil is ingredient that proves to be highly nourishing and moisturizing.

Our Body Treatments using organic products from Aveda and Decleor are “scent”sational. We have remodeled our room to include the most comfortable Pedicure chair with massage features. Time to receive our Spa Pedicure which is a similar to a facial for your feet. First the feet are soaked in an aromatherapy bath, then they are manually exfoliated with Aveda’s Polishing Body creme. Next the crucial part of great foot treatment the treatment of cuticle and nail. A cuticle mousse and remover is massaged into the toe area and the feet are presoaked while this treatment works its magic. Then after detailed work on toes, nails are then shaped to your specification. Enjoy a relaxing foot and leg massage with more hydrating emollients. We have great new colors in our polishes to finish your feet. Allow 1 1/2 hours for this foot facial.

Spa attendants and massage therapists Trish, Jess, and Diana, tell us clients are requesting longer more specialty types of massage. , they say clients are looking for time out from busy schedules and really need long massages to reduce the damage to the body caused by stressful lifestyles. Trish says her clients are loving the Hot Stone Therapy Massage, a technique of placing warmed stones on and around areas of the body that can use special attention, also the warmed stones help relieve tension spots. Anne’s clients are requesting Deep Tissue Massages as well as techniques to relieve tighten muscles and stretch and elongate them.

Skin Care Specialists Marica and Angela are saying a lot of clients are leaving on vacation to warmer climates so that Body Waxing is really hot now, especially the Brazilian for swimsuit ease.
